WEZI, In her own words; The song 'Nyimbo Zako' means 'your songs' in Nyanja, a language that commonly spoken in Lusaka and many other parts of Zambia. I wrote this song because I believe that every situation in life has a song that best describes it. Music adds colour to this world so everyone should be at liberty to sing and express themselves through rain and sunshine.

My inspiration to write this piece was a sad part part of my life where I felt I was being opressed and discouraged to be creative. I was telling myself in turn singing to my soul saying, "Wezi sing on... sing your own song.. keep writing and one day they will hear you speak out and see you break free.” - Wezi
